hihi can i ask … what is PAL ?

Hi

I am a newbie to this forum, I have registered my son for P1 this year in SSS in Phase2B. Heard good review from peopl who know about this school. My only concern is I stay quite far [in Senkang] and my son has to take school bus. Any parents out there who’s children also take the school bus, is it too taxing & stressful on the children? Pls share your experience

Dear parents of SSS students, understand SSS is one of the PAL schools. Any idea how does the day's programme look like? Has school transitioned to single session with longer school hours already or how many classes are affected by it? Will be registering my ds for P1 under P2C and considering him for a single-session cum PAL school. Appreciate any insights you could provide. Thanks!!

yes SSS is single session, every Thursday is a long day (dismissal at 3pm) to 'cater' for PAL. u can find out about the sch hours from the school's website.

Are there any parents from pasir ris sending their sons to SSS?

Anybody DS in P4? Does any of your ds find it difficult to get this "Marshall Cavendish Companion Booklets" from the school bookstore? This item has been out of stock from the school bookstore since sch holiday and till now it is still unavailable. The problem is : this item CAN ONLY BE PURCHASE IN SCHOOL. I could not find them in other bookstores like popular. I am really worried as the Eng teacher has already started given the boys HW from the booklet. I had informed the teacher about this matter and he said that he will photo copy to those who do not have them until the stock is in. However today, my ds told me the teacher didn’t do that and told them to buy it from the popular, which is totally out of the question as it is only available in school!!
