CHIJ (Kellock)

nansk:
In P1 and P2, the girls do one CCA per term. This gives them a chance to sample all the CCAs so that they can opt for one CCA from P3 onwards. They have to stick to their chosen CCA from P3 to P6.
Hi nansk,
Wow, that's quite nice! To sample all CCAs and choose one that they really like. Also, thanks for replying my crest question.
:hugs:
Your advice has been a great help. Feeling kind of lost with P1 ... :thankyou: -

That is your call. If you ask me, I don't think your dd, however well-meaning, is really going to be able to meet and take care of your ds during school hours. They are all busy in their own classes, and even at recess, they would prefer to play among their own friends, wouldn't they? (I am thinking back to my own experience as an elder sister).
Also, reg. the issue of all-girls v/s co-ed schools, every parent has their own preferences. My dh and I were in boys-only and girls-only schools, so we naturally tended towards enrolling our dd in a girls' school. Also, I had the chance to observe my dd in an art class two years ago and I saw that the boys (naturally more talkative and active) monopolized the teacher's attention and the quiet little girls were neglected. That experience cemented my decision to enroll my dd in a girls' school. -
My dd wanted to go to an all-girls school so it was not a difficult decision.

Knowing my dd, she will end up wanting to join everything. :scared: -

Dun worry, she can only join 1 per term as what nansk had mentioned. Will not need to stay back for many days.

As for me, i bought my DD for the open house and show her how fun to be in all-girls school. Actually i'm staying within 1km from a mixed pri sch but firmly decided to choose CHIJ.
There are some naughty boys hanging around the void deck sometimes and she didn't like their behaviour so she told me that she don't like this sch which made things easier for me.

Hmm… r we mostly staying within 1-2km from Kellock since we opt for this sch?

Hello! My dd has successfully got a place in CHIJ (Kellock). I’m deciding whether to drive her to school in the morning or take the school bus.
I’m staying in the Queenstown area and wondering what time we will have to take the school bus. If too early, I may want to drive her there so that she can get another half an hour more (maybe) of sleep. Anyone staying around here can give some advice? Many thanks! -
Hi there, someone told me that Kellock does not push very hard on the kids academically. But they are good at moulding an all rounder kid eg. the school will let the kids try a lot of different things. I would appreciate comments from parents with their dd in this school. I mean ultimately, I want my girl comes home happy everyday and not overly stressed.
