      Dear parents,

What makes you select this school? Based on the PSLE results or the environment or the teachers? I am just curious how parents decide on the school.

        Hello fftw,

Which area do you stay? I have a tutor for my daughter right now to coach her on her Mandarin as she is quite weak in this area. I can recommend her to you, but you’ve got to know that this tutor is not the type who would drill a student with lots of accessment books. I notice that her approach is to help my daughter develop interest in Mandarin, overcome her phobia to speaking the launguage, through flash cards, and sometimes arts and craft. I quite like this approach … for now.

          Hi Bunbun,

I am staying at Pasir Panjang now, near Vivocity. Next year, I will be moving to The Pinnacle. My daughter currently goes to Berries twice a week but from Primary 1 onwards, its only once a week. So I am looking for a tuition teacher who will be able to revise with her the Berries work as well as the school homework. My family does not speak mandarin yet my daughter do not dislike mandarin. So its important that the tuition teacher does not "drill" my daughter, otherwise she will end up hating mandarin. Please PM me your tutor contact? Is your daughter also going to Ptimary 1 next year at CHIJ Kellock?

Hi fftw, mm … I’ll pm u the tutor’s contacts shortly. I stay at Punggol. So I’m not sure if the tutor is willing to go all the way to Pasir Panjang. But yes, my daughter will be going to CHIJ Kellock next year. 🙂 This is because I work around Pasir Panjang area and its mainly logistics reasons I’ve enrolled her in CHIJ Kellock.

            Hi everyone,
Did any of your girls tell you what is needed to be packed in their bags for the first day of school? My daughter a bit blur. Just said, oh! pack lunch box’. She didn’t remember the rest. Some help here will be good. heehe.

hi, i put my daughter in Kellock Convent coz i'm an ex-Kellock girl 🙂

Principal, Vice-Principal & most teachers are new except 1 English teacher, Mrs Doris Lee, she was my P6 Form teacher...erm... abt 18yrs ago...
time flies, she's still teaching the upper Pri...

i think for P1 next year, 1st day of school, it's only 2-3 hrs orientation session, no need to bring anything, only water bottle will do. My daughter will be in P2 next yr, till now, we still dunno which class will she be in...

Hi Bunbun, I am amazed to note that you sent your gal to CHIJ Kellock despite staying at Punggol! What time do you reckon your gal needs to get up every morning just to commute from Punggol to Bukit Purmei? And student care back to Punggol? Sounds like lots of time spent on the road...

                      Hello jo.ong,

We wake up at around 6am. Leave home before 630am. Reach school quite nicely before 7.10am. KPE is a great help. Hee Hee.

                      Hello Maozai,

My daugter is in P1 Cherry. She’s ok also lah … I think. Didn’t cry. She’s taking the school bus. I am still quite jittery about having her to find the school bus uncle … going to the right bus and all that. Although I believe it should be organized nicely by the school. Just a bit paranoid that she may not hop on to her bus … but I cannot be there to make sure she is alright from today onwards as I need to get back to work liao … cannot take leave liao …

Is anyone’s daughter here taking School Bus #14 by the way?

My DD is in Kellock but P6 this year. She just started taking school bus this year too and her pickup is 6.35am. The van # is 5523. She is a bubby to a P1 girl.
