For me, I did a rough comparison for the schools around me, basing on:
- PSLE T-score (Source is not official)
- Popularity ranking (follow the crowd)
- CCA offered, achievements & MOE awards

Then I come out with my own scoring system to rank these schools. It may not the best way, but at least its a guideline for me. GESPS didn't come up tops.

Does anyone know what are chances for PR outside 2km to get into CHIJ Kellock under Phase 2C supplementary?

I have already secured a place in another school which is too far away, applied there as the admin told us still got place. The admin at Kellock wasn’t willing to tell us if there were still spots at phase 2C. So we applied to the other school.
Now I see kellock still has a few spots, wondering about my chances here.

This year, chances for PR at Kellock is only at P2C, zero chance at P2CS. Only 5 vacancies at P2CS now, and likely SC within 1km would snap them up. (like a repeat in 2013)

If you can get in, and that's a big if because the facility is really small and demand is high. Applications are taken during the first orientation, and you'll only get an SMS to notify you if you're successful or not, so I wouldn't put all my eggs in that basket.

They do not publish selection criteria, and will not entertain any questions pertaining to vacancies available - been there, done that. I can only presume that priority is given to those with siblings already in the SCC, and maybe single parents perhaps? Other than that...your guess is as good as mine.

Usually the parents from a class would create a WhatsApp group, and 1-2 parents would have contact with the teacher and the teacher would send messages via them.[/quote]Alternatively, you're free to email the respective teachers if you have any questions. Parents will be given a list of email address for each teacher in the class/subject/level, and you will receive a reply within 4-6hrs during school days. I usually don't send any emails over the weekend out of respect for the educator's personal time.

Chij kellock usually has no balloting for phase 2c. There isn’t a need to volunteer
