I have enrol my gal into beacon next yr. I wanted to know how is the school and the circulum from parents who has children current studying there. Pls advise. tks

Hi, I just saw the MOE's website stating Beacon only requires balloting for children in 1- 2km. Does this means my girl will not have to ballot already as we r staying within 1km. Just want to confirm before i m too happy.

Beacon is a good school, my Kids are in P1 and love it. Curriculum is the national curriculum but they tend to use a lot of IT while teaching. If you have any specific questions, do write here and we'll try to answer them.Jolin78:

Tks, btw their homework will be done online or is written. I am afraid that too much IT will affect their PSLE result as PSLE are all written.[/quote] -
Well in P1, most of the work is written. They do use IT for stuff like reading and DST. But just because this is a future school that does not mean that writing is ignored.
Also since this school is part of the Future Schools project, who knows what will happen in PSLE exams 4-5 years down the line.
