Aiyoh, can't teach carefulness right? Just have to keep reminding them to check that they have ALL their stuff with them when they go home...
You think that's bad? My P4 boy lost his parents-teacher booklet :stupid:
My DD1 fierce at home, timid in school so I exchanged email with Math teacher...bought her a replacement AB to keep up to date with homework (or else how? Get mountain of delayed worksheet?). Didn't scold her much about losing it (I'm not even sure it's her fault yah? Coz she remembered handling it up, and then helping her friend with her work when she finished it in class). Just had to get her to update me ASAP so that we can work it out early. (Gained a friend!)
Her having to re-do preceding exercises (I think about 60 pages worth) is punishment enough liao! -
Andaiz:
Andiaz, my dd is exactly the same! Fierce and loud at home, but timid and quiet as a mouse in school, LOL...Aiyoh, can't teach carefulness right? Just have to keep reminding them to check that they have ALL their stuff with them when they go home...

Btw is ur dd's teacher using the Maths textbook? My dd told me her teacher told them that is not necessary and asked them to keep the 1B textbook at home. Wasted my money buying it man! -
Luanee:
She still brings it along anyway. That's not so bad...their STELLAR programme for English? They don't even use the book anymore...finished THE MAGIC FINGER in like 2 weeks into T1. :roll:

Oh I think The Magic Finger was not for Stellar programme. That was for some literature stuff, my dd’s class only used it in term 3 when she had been carrying it to school since day 1! Stellar programme books are those used for their spelling list like ‘Mr Wishy-Washy’, "The Hungry Giant’ etc. Didnt need to buy those books.

email from teacher at 1am? Sounds like buds, boy! Better check to see if it is her :siam: -
1am? I received something from her Math teacher at 1am - part of the aforementioned email correspondence on her AB issue. Mebbe same lady? Or got workaholic teachers…
Yes, MAGIC FINGER is their “textbook”. They read and discuss content, language etc. STELLAR is the entire programme that includes:
- this MAGIC FINGER (yep, literature dissertation man);
- Big books that include “The Red Rose”, “The Hungry Giant”;
- Series of easy-to-read books that come under the STELLAR prog and available at Popular. -
ChiefKiasu:
Oops!! That's why I did not mention the name here. Just to be safe.KSP:

My girl does not have much homework for English and Maths since day 1. She looks very relax and no stress so far. Just wonder is it the same for other P1 classes. -
KSP:
Same for mine...unless the girl doesn't finish her work in school. Just the weekly spelling/tingxie and math topical tests that when taken in the right context (of course it'd be, there're only 6+/7 year old), is meant to check on their progress.

DD1 seems better at this (probably shorter) than when sitting for her SA1. Think the 1.5 hour thingy tired them all out! -
Well, I think she is enjoying her school so far especially now she is having her swimming lesson today during her PE time slot.
And during recess, she would go to the playground without fail!!! :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
