Planning to enrol my child into RGPS this July. Met a friend who claimed girls scoring below 95% for a subject has to go for remedial lesson in P1. Is this BS, hearsay or truth?

        P1 & P2 did not have exam.

RGPS give girls a lot freedom, school did not give much stress to all girls on study. My DD is P4 now, and got less homework everyday.

Well, depends on the teacher and the girls overall performance..... in P1, mine had remedial lessons during the first month she entered sch. In p4 she scored rather well in maths but low 90s and had a short remedial in P5.
I think its more like how the teacher see the girls progress and if they need to target certain areas where the child is weak in they may recommend for remedial.

            Hi Herbie

I was at the briefing last week. I thought only 18 gyppers got into rgs? I heard from one mother from last year top class(non gep), three quarter of 6e & f class, got into rgs.

Correct me if I am wrong.

                Your info is incorrect.

I think it's more like 3/4 from GEP classes for into RGS.

Not in my case. My girl had hardly any homework in P1 and P2. She didnt have any remedial lessons at all despite scoring less than 95% in some subjects. In fact it seems that the school give extra lessons for those who do well in certain subjects, not the other way round..
