Hi, my DD is going P1 next year into St Francis 1. Any idea when the name tags will be given to us ? On the 1st day itself? We ordered when buying uniform but the seamstress didnt say when tags will be ready. I also blur blur forgot to ask cos it was SOOOO hot that day and I was sweating!

The lady told me that the name tag will be ready when sch reopens. The form teachers will pass to the kids.

Does anyone know how long is recess time for them? My DD eats very slow and she has gastric issues (yes I know so young) so quite concerned she cant finish her meal fast and she will end up not eating and kena gastric. 15-20mins?

                hi
Though the recess is 1/2 hour, it might be best to pack some snacks/food for your DD so that she does not have to queue up to buy food. Then she can have more time to eat. Queueing takes up precious time 🙂

My DS1 ate slowly too.but surprising, he can still buy food n finish within half an hr. I think that the portion the food stalls sold are quite small. If not, its better to packet some food to bring to sch.

DS eats very slowly too. Can take up to an hr for a meal. I think I should let him pack food for start. But how can I ease him into buying his own food in the near future?

                      HI All,

I am back after my long conversations with the sch teachers and admin.
To those who dislike being called cheap labour like sweeping the floor, photostatings, and other manual jobs, I have another alternative for you, if you are still in the PSG.

I will be there in the orientation days, in St Dominic class. You can identify me easily tomorrow, as the person who will ask the most questions.
                      My mobile is 91284917.

Lets have a chat on your idea on being a PSG.

I was in the orientation this morning. My son is in 1 Bernadette. Done with school bus arrangement and became a bit uncomfortable that my boy will be picked up at 6:25 AM from the bus stop near our flat in Bukit Panjang . Nothing much we can do about that, my wife and I wanted a Catholic education for our kids and we are very happy that we chose DLSS. I’m pleasantly surprised that the PSG is actually involved in Cathecism as this is not the case in my daughter’s school, CHIJ-OLQP.

Shaolin8, I think I was the only sympathetic audience to your email about setting up a different group parallel to the PSG. But after attending this morning’s event, I actually signed up for the PSG and I look forward to helping out in whatever way I can.
