I am just worried that the pressure is now ON the teachers and p5 kids.markfch:
I would expect that these top performers were pushed very hard. But hey, it's worth it in the end isn't it.
Some of my colleagues were rather disappointed with their kids' results. So I try not to watch the clip in the office.
Don't want to rub it in mah. Must be tactful a bit.

I understand exactly what you're saying. It's like in IT sales, it's very difficult to remain in a same company for long as every yr will be a moving target based on a quatum over the previous year's result. The better you do now, the more difficult it is to meet next yr's target.

But the good news is that at least you parents know that Rulang's system works. Lots of parents would love to swap places with you guys

Of course I understand their disappointments. I also parent mah.
uhmmm.. .worth it ONLY if the kids are not resentful / hate parents, studying, school, teacher.. otherwise, I say not worth it...don't know if my mentally will change in 6 years time.. .I sure hope not for the sake of my DDs..
I get the general feeling that for those who may be on the careless side, might do poorer this year due to the easy paper(s)... not sure..
good that you are sensitive to their feelings.. hope they get over the disappointment soon and give their kids full support to move to the next chapter of their lives..
At the end of the day, we must remind ourselves that PSLE is just the first milestone, then we can put things into perspective. -

Wow! Rulangβs results are amazing! 32 4A*! Couldnβt believe it when I heard from my relative whose daughter is studying there this year. Seems like some of the pupils from average ability classes did very well too. My friend said 1 pupil from an average ability class got 4A* with aggregate score of 262 + 3! Wonder which class cos my relative said that so far only pupils from the top two classes got 4A* in the past years.

Hello Mummies,
Just want to check for the 1st 3 days when school reopen next year, parents are allowed to accompany their kids to school and stay in the school compound right? So just want to check we are allowed to stay at the tuckshop for half a day or what? Any advise?
By the way my boy is in class 1J next year. Any mummies have kids in class 1J also?
