Hi May i know if the gals normally wear a skirt over the shorts on days with PE lesson?

Sorry, heard a lot of different versions so just want to clarify

Based on my failing memory, p1 girls still can wear shorts on days with PE lesson. However, as they grow, it is advisable to wear the skirt over shorts on days with PE lesson. I hardly see any upper primary girls running or walking around in the school with their PE shorts.

Ok noted, as the shorts look to be made of a thick material was worried that my gal would feel discomfort having to have so many layers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        Hi

I am aware that Rulang is well-known for academic excellence. How about the discipline there? Do the kids get into fights, frequent video arcades... school bullies? How does the school punish children who misbehave? Thank you for sharing.

There are definitely a handful of bad apples, no doubt.
My ds kena 1 bully before. It was reported to teachers and they took action immediately. (I remember the teacher grabbed the bully by the ear out from the class down to the staff room)

Glad to hear that bullying will not be tolerated. Thanks for sharing. Don't think the school will give out such info freely.

Yes, there is some screening process for some sports. For eg, dd wanted to join badminton so that she could learn how to play. In the end, she was rejected because she could not even hold the racket properly. She was utterly disappointed. She is now with Softball and enjoys playing it. The teacher even asked if she wanted to join the school team.

                Hi Parents with p1 kids,

I hope your kids have settled well. For the last 2 days, dd's whole class was involved in the \"orientation\" for p1 kids. Dd looks after a girl from p1A.
Dd's p1 teacher, who is also one of her favourite teachers, is still teaching p1 this year! So sad in the sense that dd is already p6 but that teacher still remains in p1. But we all know that she (that teacher) is very experienced in handling the p1 kids.
                Enjoy your p1 days! :celebrate:

Dont worry as I think the recess time is staggered ie p1 will have their own recess and p2 another slot for the recess. In this way, the number of kids in the canteen is reduced. Also, most lower pri kids are more interested in playing than eating in the canteen.

btw, do they have a buddy in class to go for recess together? Not sure if my DD is taught by your DD's favourite teacher? My DD just said her Chinese teacher is very fierce...

I hope parents can understand that the teachers have to put up a fierce front to control the class. Some kids are really playful and if the teachers are not fierce on the first day, discipline can be an issue very soon.
