      I agreed with you starlight1968sg.

Ultimately, the P together with her teachers have to ensure the sustainability of all achievements/success made thus far by the school. The least we can do is to show some sense of tolerance & faith to the school, trusting their ability & capacity to resolve their existing and impending issues, whatever they are for the benefits of our children.

"Mr Chan is currently on work attachment for a period of time (6months or so) for the purpose of enhancing the schoolโ€™s future academic programmes upon his return".

First & foremost my sincere apologies to all (especially urbanemale) if I have unintentionally been giving wrong info on the abv issue. But this info was a clarification given to me (by a reliable source, supposedly) which I thought would be good to share to allay worries and anxiety of our parents. Moving forward, I sincerely hope all involving parties should exercise honesty when giving clarifications to us (parents) to avoid similar misunderstanding in the future.

          Hi RRMummy,

I'm back. Thank you so much for your wonderful suggestion. We did try it out. But he came up with the cons while we came up with the pros cos we dun c eye to eye in this matter. As expected, our pros far surpassed his cons. So I gave him another choice and asked him to rate his points with a scale of 1-10 as to how important are the points he brought up and he gave the maximum rating. After pondering over it, at last we have decided. n the verdict is to keep him in his current school. :rahrah: we are juz afraid that the change might do him more harm than good.
          Hi hshs,

          You are most welcome.

I'm happy that you all had a good sharing session. Irregardless of the final outcome, it help to show that you both truly care about his thoughts and needs.. :rahrah:

Also super happy that you guys have come to a mutually decision! :celebrate:

No offence taken cos I was not attacking you but I merely wanted parents to know the truth about those teachers who have left. I know it's not your fault cos you were mislead by the person who fed you the info. When I expressed my view on integrity and all that jazz, I was actually referring to the one who misled you.

We need to be discerning and not take things at face value. That's all I have to say.

May I ask if the statement \"Mr Chan is currently on work attachment for a period of time (6months or so) for the purpose of enhancing the school's future academic programmes upon his return\" is true?

Even if Mr Chan has left the school for personal reasons, he has every right to do so and there is no need to further speculate.
I am sure kids who have been taught by him would remember his interesting and creative ways of teaching English, making learning a language such fun and enjoyable. I learnt a lot from the worksheets he has given to my dd too ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks! Which year was that when I taught your dd?

Hi Mr Bernard Chan aka urbanemale

Your posts are embargoed because there are elements of personal attacks.

I have also embargoed one of Virgo Mom's post.

Kindly focus on the topics on hand and not at each other.

                ๐Ÿ™‚

                Thanks for the explanation. ๐Ÿ™‚
I was not attacking her. I merely told her to get the facts right about Mr Low's departure and Miss Oh's. She should not have posted something which wasn't true.

Good that you were not attacking her or anyone. Kindly keep it that way.

                thanks

                ๐Ÿ™‚

A \"good\" teacher is not only hardworking but also able to bring out the best of each kid. He/she must have ways to inspire kids to strive better.

Unfortunately, how many teachers have such deep passion to do so?

As parents, are we expecting too much from the teachers, and forget our roles and responsibilities as a parent?

Another teacher I admire in Rulang is Ms Chia KS. She is very fierce in the eyes of kids. She has to, otherwise how to maintain \"law and order\" in a class of 30 active kids.

Now dd is in p6, but Ms Chia is still in p1 ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ms Chia really knows all p1 stuff with both eyes closed.

                    Hello Mummies,

For this year thereโ€™s no CA2 for primary 1? I just want to confirm as I cannot find in my sonโ€™s handbook. Thanks.

By the way my son in Pri 1 and his form teacher is Ms Chia KS. I also heard that sheโ€™s very fierce and my son is also afraid of her alot. But how about teaching wise, is she good?

I think she is fantastic. Talk to her, you will find that she is knowledgeable, kind, considerate and helpful.
Hmm... she has a red nose ! ๐Ÿ˜‚
