MeiZi:
How do u managed to maintain the condition of the bks?
My No.2 will be in P1 next year too. I am planning to bring this year's list to double check against the 2011's list. Hope can save a bit.
DS' bks r like kiam chai, w torn covers, patched pages etc. :x
Would book-covers hv helped? -

I had the same feeling when making enquires abt sch distance then. But the staff's attitudes over the phone seems better now that I hv a kid studying there.
I called and was told to wait for letter. She doesn't sound very helpful and friendly. Is this NCPS's attitude all the time?...it makes me regret sending my son there....

Just received the letter that meet the parent session is on16 nov. We will be out of town :(.not sure whether I can arrange with the teacher on another day. The performance is on that day too. Sigh....pray that buying books etc doesn't fall on that week too.

MeiZi:
Basically every Wed all kids have to wear PE uniform.
Is there such a rule to wear PE uniform on Wed even if there is no PE lesson on that day? -
lwm99:
Yes. Every Wednesday the school (pm session) will have mass PE and Speech & Drama for all children in P1 so they have to put on PE attire.MeiZi:

Mine is also the same case. I have actually wrapped them with those plastic wrap (have to cut to size that type) beginning of this year. Still the same. I believe they are still unable to really take care of their things at this age.

Hmm...not really so for me even though I called them like only once this year regarding the library opening hours...curt and brusque

So in generally I don't really like to deal with the school.

Village Girl:
I only received the Orientation date for my younger girl too. I think there would be another letter to tell us when to buy books/uniforms before the Orientation date as kids need to wear uniform on their Orientation day. If i remembered correctly, they would informed us of the kid's tentative class too.[/quote]Anyone received letter to buy uniforms and things? Already so late and no letter yet, NCPS really terribly slow...yet still requires students to wear uni on 22 Nov. Sigh.
My friend only received that too.Vevey:

Btw, I saw from earlier posts that we are supposed to get their uniforms/books prior orientation. It was stated that the orientation date is 22 Nov but I did not rec'd any letters for purchase of anything, am I missing something? :?:
Perhaps things r done differently this yr? -
I called the school. They said we should be receiving a letter this week with the details of books and uniform purchases.
