Yes most impt is the convenience for both parents and child. To me, distance is main priority. 2nd will be % of my chances cum distance? Always hv a back up sch n check on past balloting history to measure ur chances in getting into the sch. If all fails, let fate or rather MOE decide! Generally the schs in Serangoon, Hougang and Amk area are quite ok.

Yes! This year Rosyth, Yangzheng need balloting. Parents are prepared for backup at Zhonghua in Phase 2Cs. But be warned, if Zhonghua needs balloting at Phase 2Cs, balloting unsuccessful, parents have to travel to AMK or Hougang to seek alternative schools for Phase 3. Anything could happen this year. Just be prepared if you are going for balloting.

I am a GRL at AMK GRC staying within 1 km of Rosyth. Looking at the results this year for phase 2B, is it highly likely that I will have to do balloting for my child’s application to Rosyth for 2015?


Does anyone have the numbers of the applicants and the places available for phase 2B?

FY2014 P2B for Rosyth -> 28 places versus 44 applicants.

Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing within 1km of the school in this phase. Not sure how many applicants was SC < 1km thou.

There are many good schools which require balloting in Phase 2C(S), which parents can avoid simply by registering for them in Phase 2C. Do your best to get your school by Phase 2C, as Phase 2C(S) is a wildcard and best avoided."
