jus curious, for parents whose boy is in MSH P1 nx year, does he have problems wearing and taking off the formal school shorts - the metal thing and the inside button??

thinking of doing a stud to make it easier to wear

I think that's a great idea. I think my boy will have a problem with the inside button. AND he already takes so long in the toilet! Can get one of those big-sized studs.

but i really worried abt the high panels. i think it was meant for sec sch boys.,.. but my boy surely cant reach

That is a valid concern. If they confirm on Orientation Day that the boys will be buying their own food, we ought to bring it up.

i have brought it up to the admin and they say they will ask the panel vendor to address the issue, prob by creating an opening somewhere to pass the food more easily to younger boys…its good the school is prompt in response

My dh noticed the high panels in front of the stalls too. I wasn't looking closely...maybe they don't sell soupy dishes?

Good news about the catered food system being scrapped. Didn't really talk to anyone today, just wanted to get it over and done with. My son enjoyed himself though. He made countless 'friends' (none of whose names he knows).
Err -- why good news? i actually tot it was quite a good scheme. 😄

actually i thot it was a gd scheme too, as it will be safer for the young children to eat inside classrm. my boy is so sotong and small sized. he will prob just buy from vending mach the juices and eat all the fried snacks, not proper meals as he isnt a rice-lovg person. but i guess they have to grow up just like all other kids in other schools 😞

Huh? They are scrapping the catered food scheme? I thought they had it as the canteen was too small? How are the P1s and P2s gonna fight with the bigger boys for food?

Alamak, now DS will have excuse to bring money and lose it, or worse, spend at the bookshop. And I would need to worry about the money getting stolen or extorted by "gangster" boys.

And packing food is too troublesome. He hates sandwiches and I don’t want to cook in the mornings.

                  Bring the scheme back!

Can we all send in our petition to bring the catered food scheme back? Who to send to?

I noticed that there was no counter for the catered lunch & thought something was amiss. We were then told during the briefing that the school will be implementing staggered lunch hour for next year. I then asked one of the staff and he replied -- no more catered lunch.

                      Different type of worry....sigh 🙏

maybe parents who want catered food can email to the admin.
i think catering is ok so long they willing to change the vendor.
