serpent2105:
and most of the forms require payment of some kind
yup michyms.... lately too many forms to fill up....sent emails to the form t'cher...
i think our edusave is almost gone if i did the sums right.
-
ok just saw the form on the p1 p2 parents briefing session. 3 feb (fri) 915 am to 1130 am.
i presume they have it every year? those who experienced it before, anything else to expect apart from subject teachers informing us about "programmes & assessments"? -
Ohdaddy, any idea how much is in the edusave account for starters? And how do we check on balance?

hi michyms
to check balance or at least starting amount, can call 6260 0777, its those canned voice machines so 24/7 i think. very easy, just know your dd's bc can already
http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/faq/
on amount, it is $200 yearly for primary school kids. -
hi hi,wondering what was the weekend homework load for other P1 classes? i counted for math - 11 pages from Math Builder Practice book and 4 pages from the English grammar book. Not sure if my dd heard wrongly…to play safe we did all together.
-
jnemummy, my dd had about 6 pages of Maths worksheets and 1 page of handwriting to do… what’s the homework like on typical weekdays?
ohdaddy, thanks for the info. With the PE3 payment and online portal, there really isn’t much left. -
jnemummy and michyms, my dd has 4 pages of Math worksheet ,2 pages of handwriting and a family tree to complete…Guess different class, have different weekend workload.
-
KS mum, my dd did that family tree assignment a few days ago… I guess all the teachers are teaching at different pace? The Maths homework that came back over the weekend was neatly placed in a plastic folder with a personal note from the teacher about her marking scheme and expectations for how homework is to be presented and corrected. As for handwriting, they have finished writing A and B.
-
Hi All, looks like my DD is having it easy, only 1 maths worksheet and 1 ‘myself’ english worksheet for weekend homework

Yes, the sch has these parents' briefing every year.
If there are no changes, there'll be a Principal's address in the hall on the sch's expectations & general housekeeping issues.
Parents will then head to their kids' respective classes to meet the form teachers and/or subject teachers. Other than programmes and assessment, the teachers will also share about various approaches to help your kids learn.
If you can't attend, all the powerpoint slides will be uploaded onto the sch's website after the briefing.
