Wish to enroll DD into chongfu but i stay 2.2km away.
So what phase am i in? I was looking at the chart but not really sure what are the chances. dun really utd the app and tur.
Alternatively to enroll to northland primary which is 1km away.

kids daddy say to be safe enroll in Peichun public school which is in toa payoh..
but i was comparing last year psle top score of peichun n northland only 6 marks diff. is that how we guage if its a good school?
But its so far![/quote]From what you described, I guess you are not a qualified PV or SHHK member, you won't be able to enroll your DD to chongfu during phase 2B.

Based on past year records, balloting would only be conducted for <1km during phase 2C. So even you sign up during phase 2C, you won't stand a chance to qualify for balloting because you live >2km.

so you can forget about chongfu.

if you live <1km from northland, you will be able to qualify for balloting during phase 2C. based on last year record, your chance to be selected is 1:2. if you failed, you will enter phase 2C supp.

Hi, any idea whether CF still accepting PV this year? Is there any screening criteria for PV? Example distance from school. I am staying at Admiralty but would like to enroll my girl to CF.

Or should I consider to move to Yishun to be qualified for PV selection?

Hi exco1, CF is a SHHK (Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan) school. Seems these schools are no longer accepting PVs. You would have to be a grassroots leader or join the clan (there may be volunteer work involved) to register under 2B.

I called the office and yhe answer is Yes, they are still accepting PV which really puzzled me.
Btw, any idea in the past do they require certain distance from school for PV selection?

out of all SHHK schools : Chongfu primary is the only school left, that still accept PV for the school.


Apart from Chongfu, rest of the remaining SHHK schools do not accept PV in school anymore. If they want to do any PV, then must goto the Hokkien clan to do PV for the clan directly.

call up Chongfu primary school directly (Telephone : 6758-5527), confirm with school admin whether any distance range is being imposed, then can apply to be a school PV ?

also confirm with school, following questions :-
- what is the maximum number of school PV intake per batch they accept, after screening & interviewing short-listed parents?

- in which year (going forward into future) does Chongfu primary have this intention to follow the same trend as rest of the other remaining SHHK clan schools, ie. stop the school PV, goto SHHK instead to do PV work directly at the clan itself ?
