just want to check with the P1 parents here.

My girl has forgotten to copy down the notes to her handbook (and missed a homework) again. It’s not the first time and the teacher has threatened to bring up her case to the discipline department. That will mean that a school offense module maybe issued.

I know that my girl attention may wan and is sometimes forgetful. Still, does this warrant such a punishment?

          any advice anyone?

Hi, i am a p3 parent. I realised that now a day, Chongfu school is getting more n more strict to their students in term of discipline. My dd also very forgetful and sometime forgot to submit hmwork. I have to keep reminding her everyday to write notes into her handbook even until now. Sometime teacher also called to complain. So you have to remind your girl die die must remember to drop down notes into her handbook to remember herself of hmwork.
As for the SOM, i sugguest you to talk to her teacher personally first.

I am surprised the teachers are so strict at the lower primary level, esp P1. Maybe affected parents should have a dialogue with the teacher to find out what is the issue underlying the problem ie forgetfulness or inattentiveness or teacher is too fast or learning ability issue?

my DD’s P1 form teacher is quite sweet. But there are 1-2 teachers she says scolded her badly.

the teacher could be just trying to reinforce the idea to your kid but didnt know she/he is intimidating.
u can talk to the teacher nicely and tell her abt your case.
i try to check/countercheck with my kid on her homework but sometimes due to my own work commitments, its just too tiring.

Hi, i am planning to put my daughter in the school’s waiting list.

Anyone has tried? How successful is it to get into the school via waiting list?

Just recieved the letter regarding the transition to single session come term 4.

I saw that the interest group for P1 & P2 will be conducted between 10-12 pm. Thereafter lesson ends at 3.25pm. This means that the children will resume lessons after their lunch break. I am just wondering why don’t they hv the interest group in the afternoon instead. Will they be able to concentrate on their lessons in the afternoon after a tiring morning? I’m not against the idea but looking for the rationale in this arrangement.

I believe this arrangement is temporary just for term 4 for ease of implementation. Come next year, I think all interest group events should be properly planned
