Chongfu Primary

I am surprised the teachers are so strict at the lower primary level, esp P1. Maybe affected parents should have a dialogue with the teacher to find out what is the issue underlying the problem ie forgetfulness or inattentiveness or teacher is too fast or learning ability issue?

my DD’s P1 form teacher is quite sweet. But there are 1-2 teachers she says scolded her badly.
the teacher could be just trying to reinforce the idea to your kid but didnt know she/he is intimidating.
u can talk to the teacher nicely and tell her abt your case.
i try to check/countercheck with my kid on her homework but sometimes due to my own work commitments, its just too tiring. -
Hi, i am planning to put my daughter in the school’s waiting list.
Anyone has tried? How successful is it to get into the school via waiting list? -
Just recieved the letter regarding the transition to single session come term 4.
I saw that the interest group for P1 & P2 will be conducted between 10-12 pm. Thereafter lesson ends at 3.25pm. This means that the children will resume lessons after their lunch break. I am just wondering why don’t they hv the interest group in the afternoon instead. Will they be able to concentrate on their lessons in the afternoon after a tiring morning? I’m not against the idea but looking for the rationale in this arrangement. -
I believe this arrangement is temporary just for term 4 for ease of implementation. Come next year, I think all interest group events should be properly planned

Hope so. Will check with the teacher. But they will be having their sa2 soon…hope tis new arrangement will not affect them

hi, my son is going to primary P1 in 2014, and i am hoping he can get into Chongfu. Daddy had studied in Chongfu for 2 years last time. Our house now is about 1.9 km away. Anybody has idea if the chance is good to get a place?

If daddy fulfilled the alumni criteria set by the school, distance should not be an issue at all. Check with school on daddy’s eligibility.

Snow1976:
Why not teach your child by yourself on weekdays evenings or weekends?Any good student care to recommend in Woodlands area? Not sure whether any parents proposed before to have 1 in Chongfu itself?
Btw need parents here to advise me. How's your child coping if he/she is taking up enrichment/ tuition in the weekdays, let says he/she is in morning session. After school, attend student care till evening. And after student care, attend enrichment classes/ tuition. I'm in dilemma as in those good enrichment ctrs are always full with classes on weekends. Hence only left weekdays. I don't wish to sign up now and end up have to cancel next year because of too much homework etc.
Thanks for advise.
In fact, parents are their children's best teachers. You will be providing 1 to 1 attention to your child. Nowadays, teachers expect parents to coach their children in the schoolwork. It's your own child who will benefit at the end of the day. -
Mummies of P3 and above
Need some advice on swimming classes.
I have been told that by the time the kids reach P3, they would be required by school to take swimming lessons if they have not yet learnt swimming. By then, would the kids be required to take the school’s swimming lessons, or can parents arrange for their own swimming classes?
Thanks for advice.
