i agree that the World Club room in First World Hotel is a great place to stay for a family cos its really big. The room rate includes breakfast at its world club cafe and the breakfast is quite good. Its not easy for a young child to sit for a long time in a coach, so the other way is to consider taking plane. The cost of taking Jetstar and catching a Genting limousine from the airport is actually not very high. And its easy to make arrangements, just through the internet and some phone calls…all done at home. Also, although Jetstar is a budget airline, it operates from Terminal 1 and KLIA. Though traveling by plane and coach takes about the same time cos need to be at airport two hours prior to flight time, but at least the children are able to eat, play n not required to sit down most of the time.

quite a lot of nice food, those that i can remember : pizza hut, Hou Mei cafe, a "bread" place selling cakes and sandwiches (quite big but i don’t know the name of it), the hotel cafe at the lobby of First World, a hong kong cafe at level two shopping area at First World etc.

for basic medicine like paracetemol, the watson does sell them. For bottled drinking water, there is a convenient store at the First World hotel which is quite cheap comparatively.

its definitely a great place for children, just buy a full day pass n they can play non-stop…only to break for food and nap. But for kids to enjoy the indoor theme park, please check on the height limit.

Enjoy and have a great holiday!

Thank you all for the wonderful tips and advices. Forgot the check \"Notify me when a reply is posted\" Thought nobody bothered to advise....hhahah anyway I really appreciate your sharing....

I've gotten the green light from my gynae to travel....hahha...so happy...

My maid's from Indonesia, will bring her passport and work permit...

We'll be travelling by coach... still considering whether to take the 26 seater (with no entertainment & massage chair) or top up $35 for 26 or 18 seater with entertainment & massage chair. Anyway will be bringing the portable DVD to kill time...

As for hotel, we've got no choice since the package is tied to First World Hotel...I really cross my finger that we'll be given a good room (package is Deluxe room), preferably Tower 2.....the tip about \"jumping queue\" hope that i can exercise this privilege...hahhaa...

Theme park pass, ya likely we'll take the day pass for indoor...can pre-ampt the excitement my kids will \"exhibit\"....hhahhaha imagine the ferris wheel in downtown east already drive them to crazy screams!!! not to mention the carousel, rides, etc......

how about food...? any good recommendations, pls share???
There is a canteen next to the Taxi-stand .. Hmm. I think is opposite the Main Gate of the outdoor Theme Park (I only know how to walk there) ... The ' 煮炒‘ is nice & reasonable price.. 'Marybrown' has very nice & cheap breakfast too!! There is a mushroom's farm further down hill.. Not really far.. U can actually give them a call & they will go to your hotel and pick you up (Have to call them early n book) If you interested, I'll let u have the phone number... 🙂

'Ah Yat Abolone' is also another good choice. It's suituated at First World 2nd floor.. 'Set Lunch' is worth paying.. RM78 per pax with Abalone, 'Goose' Web-feet <- this is nice, Cod fish, Mushroom, hmm.. can't remember.. hee..hee...

BTW.. At the canteen as I said earlier.. they had very nice & special 'Zhu Chang Fen' .. must try... actually u can ask around.. I think those 'Chinese' working there will know ...

        Happy holiday !! 🙂

I just came back from genting a month ago. Travelled by coach with my sister and sister in law who are 4 months and 7 months pregnant respectively. My advice for you is to take the premium coach with the entertainment system and the individual seats. They even offer pre-packed food/snacks in the coach (very safe since it is catered by SATS Svcs I think) which would be served by the attendants. The seats are really spacious and we really enjoyed it. Oh yes, remember to pack a thermos flask of hot water in case your baby needs milk in the coach.

I am sure you will enjoy your hols. I have not been back to Genting for 3 years and must say that i was pleasantly surprised with the newly refurbished rooms at First World and the Theme Park.

Love the shopping at Poney’s for children’s clothes too…

go for world club room at First World.

            - skip massive queues during checkin/checkout/breakfast 🙂

Kids like both indoor/outdoor Theme park, but it can be cold outside after a while.

            What we like :
-indoor Warm swimming pool under First World
            -cable car down and up

Please avoid school holidays, as you will see all the Singapore cars in Genting !! meaning long queues again.

              Hi all,

Can a family of four stay comfortably in the world club room in first world? Can advise the size of the beds in the room? Thanks!

I will suggest Resort Hotel over First World anytime. It has 2 double beds in each room, which is good for 4 persons.

You sure you want to bring her to Genting. The ride to there may not be comfortable for her. It also depends on how healthy she is, and whether she walks a lot in Singapore.

Theme Park Hotel was exceptionally spacious

and clean. Windows when opened oversaw
some of the rides. Very cool and breezy.

Coffee Bean cafe just outside hotel reception
area. And the theme park close by.
