No, sorry - not piping hot. but the food is in microwaveable containers. So I will heat up the food before I eat. You can order the trial for 10 days. There's a 10% discount for 1st time orders.

      The website is http://www.momscooking.com.sg

I especially like the vegetables, cos they are crunchy and not overcooked.

The soup is also nice with alot of ingredients.

I have yet to find a better tingkat provider and I have tried 6 caterers and their prices for 1 pax (incl microwaveable containers, excl rice) are as follows:

      1) Mom's Cooking - $250 (1 pax)
      2) Flavours and Spices $180 (1 pax) - food is more salty but slightly better than usual tingkat.
      3) Kim's Kitchen $200 (2 pax) - usual tingkat but taste slightly better
      4) Ban Heng (oily though soup is nice)
      5) Lexin - usual tingkat
      6) Empire - usual tingkat

So far, Mom's cooking is the healthiest - using canola oil and no added msg. The fish provided are the more expensive fish like salmon, cod fish and the prawns are bigger.

Frankly after trying Mom's Cooking, all the other tingkats really cannot compare.

If anyone has tingkats which are comparable in taste and price, please let me know.

Its good to change caterers once in a while.

      Thanks

Just to add on to the list. Tried Kim's and Neo Garden, both fail to meet our expectation! In fact, we are in the last few days of our one month contract with Neo Garden, cannot wait for the last day to be over!

                Hi,

Anybody can share with me good food caterer near east?

I intend to order for lunch and dinner from mon to fri as my maid needs to look after 2 kids on her own without anyone else at home.

                    Hi all,

Any good recommendation of tingkat food at east? Since kims is not very good and momcooking is expensive.

Any other good and cheap recommendation?

                    Thanks

Yes, Neo Garden dinner sucks. Their buffet not bad, so I thought their dinner should be okay. End up throwing the foods everyday. Waste $100 for 10 days' trial.

No idea if Select goes to the East. But we found that the food is edible and tasty, no MSG. Portions are smaller, though good enough for 2 adults & 1 child. Comes in the stainless steel tingkat which I personally prefer to the plastic containers. We tried a couple of other tingkat caters and sometimes, the food was practically inedible. We're in our 2nd month with select http://www.select.com.sg/tingkat.htm
