Yes, refer to SCGS but asking on the total number of intakes and not just on phase 2C vacancy.
Believe the stats you are refering will be difficult to get. Only the school has such data and they are unlikely to disclose. -
Southener:
For 2013 intake, number of vacancies under 2C has been reduced to 43 (2012 - 48; 2011 - 55). Seem like in general, vacancies under 2B has been increased.
Where did you get this number when MOE hasn't even started the P1 registration? :scratchhead: -
Southener:
Based on the school website, those statistics are, I think, the actual number of places registered under those phases, for the PREVIOUS year. For 2012 intake (and therefore Registration Exercise in 2011), SCGS took in 43 in P2C; in 2011 this was 48 and in 2010 this was 55.
wondering if you are referring to SCGS.forevernikon:
Any idea what will be the number of intake this year for Y2013 P1?
Remain same as 200 numbers?
if so, they have the info in their school website.

Does anyone have any stats on locals vs non-locals for 2011 (or even 2010)? guess this will be difficult as probably wasn't an issue in previous years.

If I am relying only on P2C, does it matter when during the P2C period I show up and register (for SCGS). Its not first-come-first-served in terms of allocation, so is there any benefit to being "early" in submitting papers during the P2C period?
Thanks. -
there is no benefit if go early to register.
those who register earlier for that phase have to wait patiently for the remaining rest until the last person come in to register.
SCGS wait until the last day of phase 2C registration, check how many had applied, then inform all those involved what is the balloting day, venue & time, for less than 1 km.
usually those who already decided on SCGS - will register early.
it is those caught in a dilema -
can’t decide between SCGS, RGPS or other school who’ll waver until last day of phase 2C registration, then go and register. -

Thnk you phtthp.
Saw MOE website this morning on school vacancies for this year P1 registration.
How come you can know how many classes per school?
Is this fixed already? Or subject to change? -
hi forevernikon,
P1 is: 30 pupils per class.
MOE has posted vacancies for all schools today.
hi laughingcat,
Time flies ! Son has grown up, ready to adorn ACS Junior school uniform, enter P1 2013.
agree! 30 pupils per class is a big jump from … kindergarten K1 / K2 classes hovering around average 15 to 25 pupils max per class (eg: PCF). -
phtthp, Yeah! Time flies. Yes, I make up my mind to stick to ACSJ even though can also go to ACSP. DH damn excited about it. For me....so so lah.....coz he is not going to my alma mater and hence I am not excited at all since I have lost. :wrongmove: I am such a bad mummy.
