Apart from Goodearth, rest of the accomodation were booked upon arrival.

:D[/quote]I remember my mom booking a chalet in Joondalup (next to the golf course) when we used to visit Perth. I think she said that they were SLF chalets. That was some years ago so I don't know if the chalets there are still under SLF or some other scheme accessible to civil servants. (The chalets themselves should still be there since not all are for booking; some are actually permanent/lease-able housing.) -
We stayed at Mounts Bay Waters Apartment. 2 bedroom-1 bathroom apartment. Located near Kings Park and Swan River.
The cats service bus stop is right in front of the apartment. -
The Chalets in Joondalup is still there. Last time as a NTUC member you can book liao but now i cant see it from their website. But if you are a civil servant you sure can get it as my friend just went there last month. If you want to stay in Joondalup you must prepare to drive as it not near the city but the price is good :

Hello ,
there are many Bed and Breakfast/apartment units in Perth city and towns at western australia. Most of them have cooking facilities and are suitable for family with kids. Some are near or part of farms, beaches, gardens, large playground,forests,attractions...etc. You can check them out at the information tourist centre which are centrally located at most the towns. As i went during non-peak season, i didn't make any prior bookings apart from perth city.
I recommend this site to plan your trip
