Where did you buy the flax seeds powder? How long did you take it then it reduce clog and heavy flow?

      minami:
I had very heavy menses every month, even with the longest 41 cm pad, still can overflow after 2 hours. A lot of clogs and such. I read about Flax seed which can balance hormornes and had been taking the powder form with my daily smoothie for the past month. The heaviness actually ease and i've seen much lesser clogs now. Shall continue with this and see if can improve further.

I bought mine from NTUC finest organic section. I took for about 1 month and saw significant reduction.

Flax seeds? I saw this supplement in pharmacy.

I experience heavy menses too. My first 2 days are terrible…so I usually stay at home bcos of the backache and cramps.

              Hi,

I am worried that my menses is heavy for first few days follow withblood clot. Is it normal to have such problem during middle age. I have seen doctor and scanning which is everything is fine. Anyone encounters this problem.
I think you are alright as long as the flow pattern is consistently so.

Mine is very light on 1st day. Super heavy on 2nd day. Must change every 3-4 hours sometimes. But by 3rd day, flow is just normal. Has this pattern for last few years.

As for blood clot. One reason could be the pads are not absorbing well. I used a certain type from Kotex once, the spread was no good and the blood start to clot on the pad. Whispers to me is still the best by far. The spread is impressive.

I add to my blended protein smoothie every morning, you can sprinkle on rice, salads, yogurt also. And remember to get the ground one cos the whole seed will not be digested.

This is a type of seed which is food, not supplement. Yah mine was terrible, confirm stain no matter what. I usually stayed home as much as possible too cos i can practically stay in the toilet with the frequency of the change and clots omitted during every pee.

the first 2 days can be so heavy that it feels ‘numb’ if i stand long.

if i can, i don’t mind staying in the toilet…the clots feel yucky as it can be sudden. after the 3rd day, i feel much better…at least the cramps and backache is not so bad.

I don’t get cramps. But I get heavy periods, with clots, which takes much longer to clear since after my D&C 5 years ago. I detest the ‘gushing out’ feel on the first 2/3days. It takes about 8 days to clear out.

Prior to the D&C, my period lasted only about 4-5days and I had to only use the regular pads. Nowadays, it’s always the super long ones… 35cm!!

i thought after that D&C procedure, the clots should have cleared :?
yes...you said it...that gushing out feel is so yucky...esp just after changing to a clean pad. i have to use night ones during the day for the first 4 days...for the first 2 nights, have to wake up at 2am to change again.
