I finally found my son too. By the end of the camp, he would have run 4 x 2.4km run. Something he has not done before.

      Hi Publica,

I only spotted my son sitting down - possibly listening to instructions. Am greedy to want to see how he fared in the activities.

4X2.4km run is massive. My son has never done that as well - he has been walking with me for about 3km at least 2-3 a week - but that is with music - his motivation.

      Hi Alchemist,

Mine looked sleepy in the photo. It's good that your son is used to the long distance walk. I only told him to expect 2.4km run, did not imagine that x4. But, it's good training for him though.
Video update for the VS EDGE 2012.

        Hi rylee,

Which class is your son in? Mine is in 1J.

        Hi publica,

My son in 1I. As per the sec 1 Orientation schedule (6-13 Jan) http://vs.moe.edu.sg/temp11/2012%20Sec%201%20Orientation%20Week%20%28Student%29.pdf

Looks like 1H, 1I and 1J need to report to VJC next Tuesday.

        Regards.
Hi rylee,

I was wondering about that too. I think the instructions should follow later.

            School orientation starts today.

My DS looks happy yesterday after the camping. Guess he had made some friends.

Anybody DS went for the regional studies programme interview? Any idea when will we know the outcome?

            Thanks.

The principal of Victoria School mentioned during today's orientation that they do not have any vacancy despite a long waiting list.

              Hi publica,

I missed the 29th dec VS orientation as we were on oversea holiday. Can let me know any interesting update from the new principal?

              Thanks.

Looking at the timetables it would seem only the IP classes are doing both Geog and History (unless I am missing something). For the O level classes are Geog and History split semester-wise just like Home Econs and D&T?

The boys are not allowed to wear PE tshirt/shorts to school as they have to attend a 'formal' morning assembly. It's only allowed in special circumstances, e.g. camps, cross-country etc.

                        Hi rylee,

I was not present but my husband mentioned that there's not much update besides camp briefing, how to choose CCA and part of the time taken up by PSG, which we signed up for 4 years. The boys went to their respective classes to meet the teacher. Maybe parents who were present can add on.
