Hi parents,
Did your sec 1 sons enjoy the orientation this week? After the camp, my son fell sick. Now having bad sore throat.
Still thinking of which CCA to join. Hope he can get into one of the performing arts. -
yes , my ds really enjoyed the orientation camp. He was also tired after the camp …but glad that the seniors are so friendly and also willing to guide …
He missed VS and was so upset …butt after the camp he is happy to be
JOSEPHIAN. -

According to feedback i have gathered, seems like school is churning out refined gentlemen. -
My ds was able to meet the COP for CH and VS, but we chose SJI for him because:
1. Distance - we stay in the west
2. My hubby who is in the education field has had good feedback about SJI from his colleagues, some of whom are principals and supt.
Only drawback is the fees that we have to pay compared to CH and VS. -

Nearest comparison should be CHS rather than VS due to proximity in distance and mission school label.
Academically, CHS is superior and due to its lower fees it offers real value which explains why its higher cop all these recent years.
My personal observation and feedback is that boys that passed out from SJI are more considerate while CHS' guys are slightly more playful. -

No lah, every school has its fair share of playful boys. I think the reason why SJI is not as popular is its location (not near any main housing estates) and its higher fees.
So far, I like what I see about the teachers and the programs they have. -

My boy was in SJI on year 1&2 before transferred to NJC (4years IP), according to him, SJI boys seem stand a higher chance during selection. Really thanks SJI to build up my DS’ confidence from “boy’ to “men” during that 2 years time.INNOVATE:

Hi laifeeling, Yr son applied to NJC for the transfer at Sec 2? Does he need to sit for any test at NJC?? Can advise?? Tx
-
Hi laifeeling
Could you please tell me how you prepared your son for NJC IP programme?
Is it a criteria that he needs to have scored more than 250 in his PSLE?
Thank you -
Hi all. If you’re wondering what the CCA selection will be like in SJI, do note that you have 6 options. 2 of them must be Uniformed Group, Sports and Clubs & Societies. As a Peer Support Leader I hope your sons have enjoyed the orientation camp and the campfire. I also do hope you’ll put NPCC as 1 of your choices.
