Actually, the procedure isn't clear, 1 forummer in the DSA thread has logged n updated their phone nos, leaving 3rd lang as 0. So, to be safe rather than sorry, I've advised a fren to do the same.
If you're talking about confirming DSA offers, that was done in October. Students with confirmed DSA offers only need to submit their S1 forms if they intend to take 3rd language.turquoise:
Same as everyone else. By 02dec 3pm. see http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=83079
Just in case, we're kiasu after all.
-

What time are secondary school sessions normally start in the morning? Can't find on their web sites like Crescent and Nan Hua.
Normally is 7.30am. Temasek Secondary starts at 7.30am except on Wednesday, 9am. The school rationale is to let students have more rest inbetween to enhance their performance. -
Do not be discouraged with your son's result. Encourage him to work harder when he proceed to Secondary level.
my son also didn't get what he expects. Only get 229. He cried. Can't go YTSS which is just 5 mins walk from home
There shouldn't be any comparison why others could do well and my son can't. Going for tuition, enrichment classes and spending lots of lots of money is not the only solution or good way to help him. It may indirectly kill off his interest, giving him more pressures and confuse him due to different method taught by the school and by the tutors or outside classes. Sit down with your son when he is revising or doing his homework, it would help and motivate him when you are there with him. You can do your own reading while he is doing his works.
Build interest in the subjects is very very important. Going for tuition but losing the interest could be the reason why he didn't do well. Sit down together with him and check with him what are the difficulties he is facing etc.
If your son knows that you are feeling disappointed and discouraged, it will indirectly affect his self-esteem. So tell him, work harder and he will be able to do better the next time.parentof3:
i just got back from school. Very disappointed with my son's results..he got 179 . 2c and 2b. I dont feel like reading this thread anymore because i keep seeing \"oh ive got 230, or 240, or 260 etc etc..\" Im happy for the all those who have performed well but why couldnt one of them be my son. We sent him from tuiton A to tuiton B to tuiton C. Spent $$$. Burnt the midnite oil..Prayed and prayed but what is the end results???
Hope someone can feel what I am feeling now....
thank you very much..really appreciate it. Hopefully he \"grows up\" before O levels and does well for it -

Hmmm...I really wasn't thinking of MGS although I must admit I have a soft spot for it!!You mentioned 220, I assumed you are referring to MGS (Sec) at Blackmore Drive (or was it road ?)
...
Just out of curiosity I went to check SCGS (another soft spot!) and found it has a significantly lower entry for affiliate...200 (vs 254 for non-aff)!! -
