This year they put tea reception on 13/8/11 leh.
Normally their CO come out almost same time as NJC selection camp one.

13/8 is the Saturday before PSLE oral!!

How much you need to prepare for PSLE oral ?
If selected just go for the tea reception lah.[/quote]
Chinese oral needs a lot of time, for example must go through every term such as walking stick, wrinkled face all these in Chinese. My son is like a banana boy who since young call himself an English boy, so when it comes to Chinese oral and compo is a lot of work. Chinese main is easier, he can study the Chinese text and handbook himself. Anyway what new info will they give in tea reception? It is just a persuasive session, nothing new right? Let me know if I am wrong. Thanks

Looks like your son's situation in Chinese is about the same as mine.

Same here. Once there was a picture of a nurse and he said 服务员。His Chinese teacher shook his head and sighed 😓 . Sorry to bring this up here but anyone knows how to prepare for Social Studies prelim paper ? Have not seen any notes just stacks of articles.

According to my DS, two of his group mates didn’t turn up for the NUSH camp. He said the name sounds foreign. So maybe foreign applicant who decided not to continue their applications.

Just felt it was such a waste. Not sure whether they paid up for the camp or not.

Observed that the selection camp for NUSHS is very international, quite a number of Koreans, PRC (alot), Indian, Nepalese (?). Felt so foreign when I was there.

My attempt to put anxious minds at ease…

Last year at RI GE interview, my son’s group (exempted from GAT) was also told to study hard for PSLE. The "study hard for PSLE" message was repeated in the CO as well as Children’s Day letter! Guess this is consistent with RI’s tradition of pursuing excellence in everything the boys do. Just my $0.02 worth.

5 sections, one to write English compo. one experiments each on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. and one math section.
More like testing their observation, co operativeness etc. Not really testing on depth of knowledge of the subject.

This is already part 2, so should be last round.
But heard may have interview for borderline cases.
