the selection tests set by the DSA schools will ensure they are measure by the same standard, regardless of what marks which school they are from
      now the quote button reappears

funny how all these teething problems appear and disappear and reappear

is CKS using a service provider or is he DIY ? (u have my sympathies)

But they state that the school records must show eg. 80% average. Surely some pri school's 75% might even be better than some pri school's 80%? So those from schools with very strict exams would not have chance to apply for that same DSA due to criteria, but student from a school with easier exams can. That's what I'm trying to say.

but the geppers they take the same SA exams..so the 80% is it meant for geppers' result or is it also meant for mainstream students?

Some schools still specify 80% for mainstream students. Some specify 75%, Some even specify 85%, i think.

Some more my ds' teachers were \"boasting\" that this year's SA1 papers is even more difficult than the last 2 years' PSLE papers and their own school exams! (they've already taken them earlier this month).

That itself is way more comforting than the \"maximum score\", \"lowest score\" and \"average\".

Hi, My daughter has been plays the cornet in the brass band in her current primary school from primary 2 to primary 6. The brass band wins gold and silver awards at SYF. However, my daughter has only a grade 5 in piano, she does not have a grade in cornet.

Does anyone know if she stands a chance in getting to NYGH/RGS/NJC via DSA? She scores distinctions in English, Maths, Science in ICAS NSW papers, does it help?

I don't want her to apply if she has low likelihood of getting in as it is unnecessarily stressful to both of us. please help? :?
