Last year, all of my son's gepper classmates who were on RI WL, were eventually given places in RI on PSLE result day.

While 'past performance does not guarantee future result', there is no need to lose hope.

All the best for those on RI WL!
Thanks sautille, that is really a good piece of information to hear.

        Hi sunflowermom,

Congrats to you & your DD on his WL at RI. 50% good news is great....that means you still have 50% chance for a CO eventually. All the best. Jia you.. :xedfingers:
        :thankyou:

So far anyone’s ds has got CO from both NUSH and RI ?

For the case of RI WL and NUSH CO. If put RI as first choice and NUSH as 2nd and eventually not offered RI, I presume the second choice NUSH will still be given to this pupil unless the pupil did not include it as one of his choice. Is my understanding correct?

My understanding is almost exactly the same as your save one. According to MOE website, schools with integrated programme (IP) or specialised independent schools viz NUSH, SOTA, SST have discretion to admit up to 100% of their intake.

However, since RI's public stance is to admit 50% of its intake through DSA, I am curious how strictly RI needs to adhere to such commitment.
yes the public stance is up to 50% for the DSA. The objective is not to fill the 50%. The objective is to offer places to deserving students.....if not enough students, then the extras go to S1 posting

              Pen88n:

For the DSA, there are CO and WL. Dependent on the # of COs, those on WL will be ranked and offered based on the vacanies left after the COs.

Assuming there is only 1 vacancy left for the DSA. WL ranked #1 scored 260 for PSLE and WL#2 scored 270, who will be offered the place?

They won't know the PSLE score of the DSA WL students right since it's not submitted to them.

then may be the cut off point will be raised to create extra place to take in both WL#1 and WL#2....if the school has not kept some spares

I believe it will be WL#1 based on WL ranking as DSA is not dependent and does not take into consideration PSLE T-score as long as they qualify for express.

I supposed you mean the school can reduce the PSLE in-take and in this manner, the COP will be higher due to a smaller intake?
