        IMHO this is ugly.
Luckily they kept the HCJC uniform for the year 5 and 6.
What a lot of old HCJC alumni are not happy was the change of the HCJC crest to the old Chinese High (HCI) crest.

It is not nice to criticize others' school uniform like this.

This is the style for SAP school such as CHS, NHH,...etc

Many kids feel proud wearing this high school uniform when they first step into their dream school.

I don't quite understand why vk2010 wants to publish this. The Chinese tradition is one aspect of SAP school, be it sec and pri. The students eventually are bilingual. I think vk2010 himself is one good example.

Ugly, I wouldn't say. But impractical with the buttons on the shoulder where our poor DS have to carry their backpack. Cannot imagine e pain or does e school expect them to carry briefcases?[/quote]For the past 8 month, my ds has not mentioned any issue with the button, nor he has to have the discipline to transfer the button to a clean set every day. Sometime, seeing him tired and wanting to help him do so, he still insist of doing it himself. I can sense his proud of his school and his uniform. He is even proud of his CCA when he has his CCA logo at the other side of his collar.

I like HCJC's uniform. It was copied by many of the newer JCs that came up after it, in terms of having the top and bottom of the same colour rather than white with blue pants etc. The ones that come to mind are NYJC, JJC, TJC...

The NYJC unform nowadays uses the same colour as HCJC. NYJC uniform used to be brownish colour.
