Well RGS P Clarified that must be qualified for Express Stream ....
But Did not specifically state the Cut Off ....
Anyway, think they will exercise their discretion, since the Gal's P5, P6 Results R Submitted in the DSA application.

Well, is up to you… but i am not lying cos i heard that a few of the girls were very upset and cried cos they were only informed of the 246 cut off at a later date…

Unless the COP is specifically stated in the DSA letter of offer, qualifying for Express Stream is taken to mean 200 and above.
Tania, these girls that you mentioned were very upset, do you know them and their scores personally? -
jtoh:
Maybe they were in the waiting list instead of confirmed offers? For all we know, schools may based on their CA/SA results to 'guestimate' if they are likely to score COP of >240. If not, then put them on WL first ... Does the outcome if one moves from WL to CO comes BEFORE or AFTER PSLE results?Tania:

In my opinion, confirmed offer means CONFIRMED right? Unless the offer comes with a clause stating the FINAL confirmation is dependent on PSLE results. -
Any top school should impose a minimum cop as a condition in their offer to successful dsa applicants. This is to protect the interest of aspiring students.
A score of above 200-230 to enter a top school spells troubles ahead. -

Currently most schools do not stipulate a COP for their confirmed DSA offers. All that is required is that the child qualify for Express stream.Any top school should impose a minimum cop as a condition in their offer to successful dsa applicants. As for kids who aren't academically strong, the parents should ask themselves if they're doing the right thing by placing them into a top school where most everyone's T-score is >260. That is not to say that someone who doesn't do well in PSLE won't excel in secondary school. It depends on how much drive and perseverence the child has. -

30 points away from cop is way too much for a successful dsa applicant to handle.
Imagine have to juggle cca, schoolwork, cip in the midst of many many students above him/her.
Parents encouraging their kids to dsa to such schools are asking for troubles even if their kids are dam determined.
A- level is the most difficult national exam to handle.
