DSAs are probably going to get more competitive because students are now preparing years in advance with the intention of securing a CO. We read in the forums now of parents of P1 or even younger asking whether ballet or chinese dance is better for DSA, or if a certain sport is more DSA-friendly.

Before, a child first excelled in a sport before he thought of using that sport for dsa. Now the parents plan and scout the DSA landscape, then choose the sport for their child.

So based on this, what sports / CCA is a better choice for DSA then? Since DD is in P1 now, maybe should start preparing her for it :rotflmao: Or maybe by then wind might change direction? :evil: Or maybe I should look into crystal ball to decide on the future popular DSA CCA / sports!!!

Have a feeling more and more school will implement the system like NUSH/SST/NJC ie one round of screening test, followed by 2nd round of screening activities followed by 3rd round of interviews etc.

Why nowadays education is so complicated and require so much planning and strategising - from P1 (actually should be from nursery as need to strategise which pri sch to enter) to P6?? Make life so much more difficult for parents and kids...... :frustrated:
