Phone call with good news for my boy first thing this morning. Nothing so exciting, not premier school, but comforting news nevertheless. I thought not to let him know so he won't be too \"proud\" of himself, but got to go for meeting tomorrow. ;(
May I ask which school?
CHS. It's actually the school he wants to go .[/quote]That's fantastic! Getting a CO from the school of his choice is the best CO. :rahrah: -
hi jtoh,
besides demonstrate exceptional ability over subjects like Maths - how about other subjects like Science, English or Chinese ?
are these 3 other subjects also considered, or the DSA panel of decision makers only interested in Maths ? Thanks for info. -

thanks for your 'rumors'vlim
rumors has it that 1M, 1P & 1Q are all the top scorers with competition experience and awards, incidentally this year's Euler members also from these 3 classes
Rumors only
vk2010 u come just in time as I would like to check with you regarding the HCI CO letter that your son received last yr. Is it a photostated copy or is it with original letter head with its red colour logo?..ours is photostated black and white copy le  ...This sort of thing should be original copy with the school letter head right?... :skeptical: -

Students can apply to any of the above academic domains for DSA. The specific requirements are stated on each school's website.hi jtoh,

Because for RI DSA academic domain is under specific subjects, hence the exceptional ability beyond peers is applicable for each subject domainhi jtoh,

So it is a fallacy to assume that other than math will be easier to get in. It is misguided if any parent were to think so -

:thankyou: Verykiasu2010 I will show yr post to my dsMdm Tay
What Mdm jtoh said is correct
Last year my DS also same situation, among the top in smops platinum ranking etc, got international awards in others cca, though he got HCI CO, he later used his psle to appeal in to RI, we got phone call from RI right after the psle result was submitted to RI
So please tell you son to cheong psle and aim for RI
Sure got hope, don't forget the other half of RI intake is via psle
I m sure that this can motivate him to cheong all the
Way to his minimum
