Juz would like to check nush have no interviews, right? TIA!
NUSHS DSA is in 2 phases, selection test and selection camp. In the selection camp, where the students are split into groups and each group is guided by 1-2 assessors, to observed their conduct and their knowledge for each of their assignment. I would guess they are looking for attitudes towards sciences mainly during the camp.
The DSA for NUSHS is over, you are planning for next year? -

Wah this school very scary. But maybe if they have it in my son's school, he won't mind going. haha. He's afterall just slacking at home.
:yikes:  oh, poor boy!!! This is horrible!!! Nightclass!!!! Why is the school doing that? Can't the parent feedback to the school!. I think this is too much!!!!! :mad:Ms tay:
Actually my ds very pitiful , his crazy teachers make him works fr 7am-11pm everyday. his days occupy with supplementary lesson and homework .somedays
they even have nightclass 6:30- 930pm after he comes back home still has homework to do ...
when he complains to me, what I can do is just encourage him that
" 世上没有不劳而获的东西 must be 先苦后甜"
Why some people don't understand that \"over feed difficult to digest \" sigh!
My poor boy!!!
His teacher arranged some revision classes - not everyday, and not every week either. Just maybe a few classes before PSLE. Some of them are 6.30-8.30pm. But my son very happy to be going, leh. He told me to reply on the form that he can go. haha. -

My ds did. Well, his only selling point is under performing arts. If he were a girl, I think applying for DSA under NYGH would have a high chance, bc over these past 4 years, I've been monitoring and it seems not too difficult to get DSA CO to NY under this type of CCA. Too bad there's no boys' school equivalent with similar DSA assessing process. If your child is in band, orchestra, ensemble, etc - just refer to the criteria listed by the school you want to apply DSA for. RI/RGS doesn't have DSA under CCA for performing arts. HCI doesn't either. Only schools like RVHS, NYGH, DHS has for performing arts CCAs. Note that for DSA, your child should be at a fairly high level of competence in his/her instrument, have exam gradings, or even competition prizes and has to be a key contributing member of the CCA.Hi,
Did anyone try under the asthetics route (eg. band, orchestra),etc... can you pls share the experience. -

My DD applied DSA via CCA performing arts to NYGH and is under WL. Have to prepare 2 pieces for audition. For a guide, DD has ABRSM certificate, participated in SYF and is also a CCA leader in her school. Hope this info helps.
