Though the chances of a WL from HCI turning into a CO is high, there's no harm in keeping the CO as your second choice.....just in case. All the best to your DS in his PSLE.

if I were you, I would call NJC and quote the instructions by MOE and see whether they can give you a verbal reply or email today so you won't be too anxious over the weekend.

Call NJC? :skeptical: Last time I called abt the wrong date in the email. The lady asked me to hold on and said she will verify and then suddenly hung up! :yikes: So after 5 more minutes I called again. This time no one picking up the phone. :stompfeet: Anyway the same afternoon the corrected email was sent. So I think better to wait. Maybe if nothing tomo also will surely call them on monday.
BTW, we have not received any letter from ACSI too. :sad: From ACSI thread I understood that those with CO and WL were called to collect the letters personally.[/quote]Yup, we didn't receive our rejection letter from ACSI as well... Not that i'm looking forward to it...

if keep the CO as second choice and unluckily your ds is not accepted by HCI (low chance), he will be posted to that school.. can use psle result to appeal to HCI but not sure if there is any change in 'appeal policy' this year.. :roll: and it will definitely require a higher t-score and may need to attend interview.

From what I understand, if you get a WL, chances of successful appeal is high, especially if you put the WL as first choice.

Is today a school holiday for sec schools as well ?
So nobody may answer the call also.
Even if the admin staffs are around, they probably cannot reveal anything without the approval of the P or VPs who may not be working today.

Based on my experience in year 2009, HCI gave out WL1 and WL2. At the end, all WL1 and WL2 got into HCI. A fair percentage of CO went over to another mountain. So your WL is as good as CO. :imcool:

Another mountain? :rotflmao: hi looking4tutor, yes, cheerfuldad is right! my DS got CO from HCI but he has decided to take up the CO from RI (believe there are many such cases too). Hope his place in HCI will be filled up by your DS! I'm very sure you DS will join his dream school next year! Good luck!!! :rahrah:

Aiyoh! They should just send out emails first to ease the anxiety of parents. Snail mail can come later.
