When is the best time to go overseas after PSLE? I know immediate is the best. Other than this? Dates to avoid is 24th to 28th for those who has gotten CO/WL. PSLE result's = late November. When is sec 1 posting selection (for those who did not go thru dsa)? Must start planning for next year holiday liao...
This year the release of S1 posting results is on 21 Dec 2011 and pupils are to report to secondary schools for registration on 22 Dec 2011 at 8.30 am. -

Hi yukilei, submission of S1 option form starts immediately after release of PSLE results and ends 1 week from the date. Eg if PSLE results is released on 24 Nov, options can be submitted from 24 to 30 Nov.
-
But if your child is successful in his/her DSA (WL or CO), then you will need to submit the School Preference Form from 24 to 28 Oct.

Hi
I think the best time to go for a week holiday break is during the PSLE marking days, 17 - 20 Oct (Mon Thu). The rest of the pri and sec school students are busy with their exam. -

Same thought here. In fact, just need to apply one day on 21/10 and can plan the holiday from 14/10 (if the departure is at night) until 23/10.

That was nice for the schools to organising oversea trips for the P6 students.Ideally I would like DS to read lots of Chinese comics/novels/story books etc during the 3 months break but knowing him, he will read a lot of English books but not Chinese.
Also hope for him to finally learn how to swim.
Their school organising some service camp to Bintan Island but he doesn't seem to be interested.
I understand there are some schools organise trip to Australia for thier P6 students in Nov before the term 4 ends.
Any parents here know is your DS/DD schools that organise trip only for GEPers or trips that are different? Like exchange program in the US, attend some courses conducted by the oversea schools or visit some football clubs(ManU, Liverpool) etc...Just something different from the norm..? Curious to know..
