apply AGAIN = appeal ? mathematically no, but end result is same

this time 'apply AGAIN' only has a one-page form to fill, with the top right corner 3 big squares provided to fill in the t-score with big hand writing and big numbers too
All the while I though apply again means putting the school's name as first choice during S1 posting if the T score makes it and then sit and wait.

Silly me. Real Suaku man. 😆

So I'm one of the mountain turtles as well.

Always thought that once rejected from DSA for a school and that's it.
The rejection letters do said they strongly encourage you to apply again to them with your PSLE results.
Nothing was mentioned about any appeal though.
Strongly encourage to apply is a 'hint'... :hi5:

Sry, I not only suaku but kundo... Let's use examples to help understand better. Specifically, it seems to only applicable to RI process rite? If the studA was rejected by RI dsa and not given any other CO/WL and his T-score is lower than previous yr cut off. So he should also go submit the RI supplimentary exercise, pay $20 and submit S1 form putting R1 as first choice. Are you all trying to say that?

me think if the actual psle score is lower than past year cut off point - it is stretching the faith too thin by going to the supp admission or appeal, whether immediately after psle result or after s1 posting result

the whole discussion has been assuming no WL / no CO but t-score is higher than past cut off point, then it is "strongly encouraged to apply again", implying not waiting for S1 posting result then appeal

being independent school, it has 100% discretion on admission

if the student has been rejected at DSA and then the PSLE t-score seemingly lower than past cut-off point, then the school would seemingly be justified in rejecting the applicant, and I think quite pointless to re-apply or appeal.

Don’t raise expectation only to be disappointed.

What if it's a case of WL not materialise into a CO, with a T score exactly or 1 or 2 points below previous year's COP ?

But isn't s1 form good enough if the T-score is higher than past cut-off, why the need of supplimentary exercise to appeal ? :?

so I think the appeal process is only meant for those who have accepted CO else where and want to use PSLE to switch. No? But then why RI supplementary/appeal process require stud to do GAT and pay $20 as stated in their website? Getting very confused.

aiyo..it is to practise kiasu-ism and play safe..scaly with the high t-score still lower then this yr cop then jialet liao...so go appeal once get psle result and as what vk2010 said..hopefully the school will approved the appeal even before you submit the S1 selection form.
This is especially for those DSA applicants who with NO confirm offer or wl at all so they didn't get the chance to fill in the option form in 24-28 oct ..

                        Hello All,

May I ask for those who are offered WL, upon psle results released, do one still need to put the WL school as first choice? Thanks.Or it will auto become CO?
