For RGS, from DD experience they target the top 3% of Singapore P6 girls from an academic perspective. DSA academic slots are mostly taken by GEP kids. For sports DSA, your DD will need to be Nationally ranked top 3 or so with International and National tournament experience and fare well in those tournaments.

        Oh… Another useful info…

For non DSA entry, last year’s RGS COP was 263. However, there were a few DDs who appealed successfully with 262 PSLE scores.

          Hi BeContented,

In the end, did your DS take up the DSA offer?

          Yes, he joined ACSI.

hi becontented, understand that your ds is in acsi. is he currently on the international baccalaureate program? i'm trying to know more about the ib program but limited info are available both here at ksp as well as school's websites. pls advise. tia.

What happens if I apply for 2 schools for DSA and my first choice gives me a WL and 2nd choice gives me a CO?

Can I opt for first choice to wait and then hold on to CO?

From my understanding, we can only select / confirm / accept 1 CO before a certain deadline period.

No changes (to school choice) allowed, even if we qualify to go to a better school upon receiving PSLE results.

At the end of the exercise, all the CO and WL will be centralised at MOE, and they will provide a form to you via the primary school with a listing of your offers. You will have to fill up and submit. You can put the WL as first choice, CO as second....

Thank you for the quick response...

when will you need to confirm the CO? in Aug? Or after psle results?

By the way, after you accepted an offer, no transfer of school is allowed, irregardless of psle scores, or whatever…

The result of CO or WL of various schools will be out in aug but we need to confirm our choices after PSLE and before result release . this is usually in oct or late September .
