      What is a placement agent?

A must to go through such agent?
There are many education fairs for UK, USA universities open to the public. You can get lots of information there. No need to go through placement agents or agents who offer courses on various tests, interviews etc.

The JCs should also be holding lots of talks on applying to unis, local and overseas. Overseas unis will also send their representatives to some JCs to hold talks with the students.

        Thank you, pirated and jtoh.

I heard from elder boy that those going to NS this year cannot participate in last year applications.

        Was he correct?

Most UK unis only allow deferred entry for one year, so NS boys are advised to apply in the 2nd year of NS. Not sure about US unis. I think what many of the boys do is they apply for NUS/NTU this year when results come out, then apply for overseas unis later.

Does anyone know when local uni applications open and when applications must be made by? Not talking about the early admissions which are already closed, but regular admissions.

When MOE releases the results, will these details be included?

Result slip will not include any thing about Uni admission unlike O level or PSLE result slip. MOE job is over, they are not responsible for territory education. Its up to individual to chart out next course actions for further studies.

That's why forum like this very useful ...ask and you will get info.

If you have SAT score , SMU considers above 1900 as good score . You may want send it to SMU directly from College Board website. It provides this service with minimum charge.

PLE is interesting... Is it a 3 or 4 year course?

I wonder if results will be out on 4th or 7th?
