      I'm wondering is \"failing\" the \"way of life\" in JC? :?

So common to hear \"if can pass very good already\" in JC. Why the large disparity in JC? Is it like that across different JCs?
In secondary school, very often it is not whether can pass or fail, but it seems to be a different story in JC.

Looking for private bus that goes from Bishan to VJC in the morning. Public transport takes more than an hour. My DD doing J1 at VJC. Please PM me if you know of any school bus doing this route.

            Dear zeemimi

It is common for students to fail / score badly for the common tests, promos and even prelims. This can be due to the intensity of the papers set by the different JCs and also associated with the varying time durations given.

From our past experience we have seen students score S & U at Prelims score As & Bs at the A Levels and vice versa.

One takeaway is that it is important for one to ensure that he or she understands the fundamental concepts well so that he can apply it correctly to the sometimes tricky questions at the A levels.

Hope this tiny bit of info helps! Press on and don't give up!

You may also call/sms/whatsapp our friendly coordinators at 94561888 or 81881015

            Cheers!

Time is flying for this year JC parents networking group…Both MT & PW will end this Oct, so you are left with 4 subjects+GP to focus on for next 8 months. If you score not so well let’s say ABCC what are chances of securing Place in local uni for following courses ARTs degree.

              1) NUS-FASS - Remote chance
              2) SMU-ECON- Remote
              3) SMU-Social science- Remote
              4) NTU- Phycology-Remote
              5) NIE- ARTs -Fair chance
              6) SUTD- Humanities program -Fair chance

MY DD dun want to do Accountancy/Bus admin , though she has H2 maths… does it mean, we have to plan for Aussie uni education

DadofGirl, your dd scored ABC/C for her recent CT exams? Isn’t that very good?

No ... her best score is in GP(B) & Rest C or below. Managed to pass all with one subject E.
Looks like Promo no problem & thereafter some improvement with ultimate score of ABC/C.
That won't get her in good uni here 😓

Just keep working and hope for the best. My daughter's partial results are currently 2 fails and 1 scrape (in her H1!). Still waiting for the rest of the results. We have a long, long road ahead. I dare not even estimate what her eventual results might be.
