If you qualify for AJ, then I would also advise AJ as first choice. Math and physics are some of the school's stronger subjects. Plus it's nearer, significantly so. Not too sure how AJ's econs and geog dept is though.AJ or SR, someone please advise omg urgent!!! have to submit by tmr so please advise!

Is Econs Math Geog & physics considered Hybrid combi? I thought not all JCs offer Hybrid right?

May I know why choose Hybrid? what are advantage or reasons? -
JRexpress:
Hybrid courses are great. In order to qualify for most university courses, the subjects you need are just H2 math and one other H2 science, preferably physics since there are more engineering courses in university than there are chem/bio related ones. So the one extra science is not that useful considering that you only need the above 2, although most students take the extra science anyway because thats who the traditional science route is structured.0

Arts/SS courses require no pre-requisites other than a good GP grade. But since you dont want to be behind the Arts students if you end up in an arts course in university, you take one more H2 art subject just in case. -
JRexpress:
at A levels, choosing the subjects that you can score well in is essential. some hybrid students I know were good at chemistry in sec school, but not so much for bio/phy. so they went into hybrid where they took chem and math as their science subjects. and I guess taking an additional science subject may open up more doors for uni courses. especially one as fundamental as chemistry. you'll have to look at the course prerequisites on the various uni website to see.

Dear RJC1 parents,
My DS is going to register and trail his CCA these days, he intends to choose Frisbee. Any parents have idea about this CCA, I would also like to have the suggestion on how to choose CCA and Groups and Clubs in JC stage, what is the strategy of CCA for and A level exam and final pro folio of uni admissions?
