My prediction is Nanyang Primary School because

      1) they produced the most no. of high scorers in a single sch last yr, hence the chances of this yr's top scorer is from NYPS.

      2) they have very good enrichment programmes (ie Lorna Whiston)

      3) many political officials' children are there, and hence the children who inherit the good genes are more likely to be cream of the crop.

though this is not my alma mater nor my child is from this sch.

My prediction is Catholic High School because their secondary school did http://news.asiaone.com/News/Education/Story/A1Story20090112-114068.html so the primary school is motivated to do well this year.

            .
Really? I'm not aware of such a programme? I believe such programmes are optional after school-enrichment activities which parents pay for, not built into the school curriculum.

My prediction is also Nanyang Primary School because:
              1) it has a most dynamic principal (unfortunately leaving for Nanyang Girls in Dec 09) 😒 .
              2) it has the highest number of dedicated, motivated and loyal PVs who put in the same or even more effort in the education of their kids in NYPS :rahrah:
              3) it promotes both moral & academic excellence, thereby offering the perfect environment in nurturing a TOP student πŸ˜‰
4)last but not least, the kiasu spirit and index is probably one of the highest, or if not the highest in town, hence it gets my vote for being the best able sch to product the TOP kid. :celebrate:

Their school vision is to be a World Class Primary school hence they can produce TOP PSLE scorer too!

                    .
Ya. Many big wigs' children here. Even a concert hosted by the school has performers like Zoe Tay (probably PV hours for her son), Steffanie Sun (??) & Chen Siew Huan (her kids are there, one taken PSLE this year). Politician's kids - many. Good genes? Probably. But also lots of $$ to groom their kids.

I predict the top student will come from Catholic High.

                      Why ?

Because listening to my friends with kids there, Cat/High must surely have among the most boastful and kiasu parents in Spore.

My vote goes to NYPS for the following reasons:

                        (1) Same principle as last year, history may repeat.

                        (2) Past few years records showed top students are from GEP, NYPS has the most number of GEP students, so chance is higher.

                        (3) Last but not least, NYPS has a lot of Kiasu parents who are Stay-At-Home and highly educated since their DH are garmen pp.
