We are currently on an overseas posting and our current HDB flat in commonwealth is being tenanted out. Currently, we have not changed our individual NRIC address, i.e address is still being reflected as our parents place respectively. As such, it is possible to use our parents address for the registration? If yes, will it be the dads or the mums address?
whatever is the address on your NRIC will be used for the Pri 1 registration -

and the NRIC should reflect the address that you are staying. But for your case a bit tricky since you are overseas. Are you planning to take back your flat to stay?vickvick:

I am not even sure when we will be back in Sg for good so i cant say for sure we would be taking back our flat to stay. I was wondering if i should go for P1 registration to reserve a place or wait till we are back for good b4 we start looking for a primary school. If i were to go for P1 registration and both parents NRIC differ, which one would they use?

If you intend to use your own place to register, best to ask the tenant to leave as vk2010 said. There have been cases of both tenant and owner using the same address to apply for a school and in the end, the owner's kid was kicked out of the school because he did not live in the property. Placement for P1 is based on occupancy, not ownership.
Eligibility is strictly by the NRIC address. If you own it, change it back to reflect it. You may need to boot out the tenant......(the tenant could be using it for the Pri 1 registration - he rented it for that purpose, may be)terry:

that will be another school under next phase -
can i continue to try my luck again at the same school of choice? or do i have to apply at a new school altogether?
-
If that school has balloting in 2C, that means all places would have been allocated by the end of 2C. There won’t be any places available for 2CS.
So you will have to register at another school. -
hi… may i ask… if i own 2 properties… 1 of which i could qualify for phase 2b <1km for school A and another within 1km of school B for phase 2c… can i put keep my IC address for School A and apply for Phase 2B… and if i fail to get a place, can i change my IC address immediately to my 2nd property to apply Phase 2C for School B?
Hope someone can offer advice!! -
