My personal opinion is that for Poly - it’s a more ‘specialised’ route meaning if you go to Biz Admin, you will specialise in areas related to

business, sames as for engineering etc
For JC, it’s like laying the foundation to enter U and you can still choose
different combinations, thus enabling the child to have broader choices
      after A levels.
I feel that youth may change their minds/ambitions and if they enter a Poly course and regret their choice later, it may be a waste of time to start
all over again. I speak from seeing my friends’ experiences and relatives’ kids.
Just my 2 cts worth, please contribute your opinions because I feel many
parents and their kids face such dilemma upon finishing O levels.

Can I ask a question about CCA.

Let say you join a CCA on playing guitar. Will that CCA teach you playing guitar from scratch ?

        Thanks

Sometimes, the CCA teaches from scratch while for some, you must already know how to play. eg, for netball, the non school team teaches from scratch while the school team, you must know how to play already.
hope it will be of help. what school are you/ your child in? 😎

Actually, you don't need to purposely find a CCA for yourself, because during CCA selection, the CCA teachers will ask you to try out then they may spot your talent and ask you to join. 🙂 lol my school right beside you leh, i nanyang(:

                        HCI?

                        Which CCAs are less demanding?
And is there such thing as "CCA points" for MSG calculation?
(CSE isn’t that difficult to get, is it?)
