I think my DS also need to work on his EL compo, can share what your DD has planned to do? Thought of buying those creative writing books for him to practise, but you know as a parent, sometimes we do not know what things to look out for when marking his compo work.

We have bought Casco Zoom in Vocabulary for Creative Writing - Book 6 and she can use it for reference.

Also will source for some pictures for compo. and let her try on. Will get help from her cousin and my sister in law to do the marking.

Same here as we also heard is normally Viz-Versa.
Will expect Maths paper to be difficult and perhaps Science paper may be easier.

Envy you having a dd that is mature and sensible.For my ds, still has long way to go.

We reviewed our plan too.Decided to put more effort in chinese too.Normal school days tend to neglect it alot.Language is a foundation and building block, not able to improve over night,so we will try to do whatever we can.

When is the last day of your school term?

Just heard ds the last day is actually wednesday, which is also the prize giving day.

Do you know your child ranking in school?

I heard there can be big jump in pri five and six results too, depends on how the child wants to strive.

Yes. We should not neglect the CL language as I notice from other forum discussion there are some did well (even get an A* in PSLE CL) but turn up struggle in Secondary School CL.

Now we are watching the 9 'clock new CL show and I found it interesting especially there are several cheng yu mentioned in the show like 掉以轻心，珠丝马迹 etc

Hopefully by all means our children can build the solid foundation.

Yes very true.

My friends children all Star in psle, but in secondary school really struggle alot.

Its impt to do well in pri psle, but long run foundation cannot be neglected too.I am looking into how to build a fluency in ds chinese language structure too.

I heard from one friend why the parent will see the big different in P5 exam instead of P4.

Reason is P4 exam is being set to test most of the basis concepts so those still cannot make it will be recommended to take foundation subjects in P5.

As such in P5 parent will be shocked to see the result that compare to P4.

I think what she said is quite true.

DD school last day will be next Thursday.

The teacher did not reveal much in their ranking but only mentioned about 5 - 7 pupils will need to change the class next year.
