pineapple tarts:
Boss just brought us to Jing at Fulleton one. SHIOK!!
What about the price? Is it as SHIOK as the food ?
Anyone knows of places offering CHEAP & GOOD ( I mean less than twenty dollars per head ) buffet Tim Sum in Singapore?
Than it will really be SHIOK ! :celebrate: -
I like the traditional dim sum so there is this not-so-upmarket place called "Red Star" that I still love to visit for dim sum with pushcart style. I usually like to take foreigners there to appreciate the quaint style of that place.
The last time I went there for lunch, I actually bumped into the First Lady. -
I was craving for dim sum for years. As in, it’s been years since we went to a restaurant for dim sum. In addition, we couldn’t forget the heavenly dim sum we had in HK 2 years ago. It was just unforgettable. Wonder where to find such quality at reasonable price in Singapore.
So on new year’s day to fulfill one of my NY resolutions, we ended up at Yum Cha. The only place I can think of since it’s impromptu. It is those push cart style. Food quality is not bad though not heavenly and price wise, I thought it was pretty reasonable too.
We wanted to go to dragon phoenix initially but think they have closed the outlet at river valley??? -

My DH really likes the place too. The one near the Sub Courts rite?? He's always raving abt it cuz he and colleagues go for lunch there. Been promising to take me there but haven't got down to it
We also used to patronize the one in Thomson Plaza called Kelong something. Closed down already, taken over by Peach Garden. That was good, also pushcart one.
Now, we go to Jiang-Nan Chun at Four Seasons if got strong craving for it. Not pushcart style, but I like their dim sum there
-
Have they open a new outlet? Thought I saw some promotion by dragon phoenix recently.

Service was non-existance and the food was coming out (from the kitchen) sooooo slowly that a lot of people just crowd at the kitchen door and grabbed whatever they can when the carts were pushed out ... only carts with non-popular dim sum survived the onslaught. -

:rotflmao:A man asked God
\"God, what is a million years to you?\"
God replied
\"Son, it's like a second to me.\"
The man continued
\"Wow. So, what's a million bucks to you?\"
The reply
\"Oh... that's less than a penny to me\"
So the man asked excitedly
\"Cool... um... can u give me a penny? \"
\"Sure, my son. In a second\"
You found this or it's an original from you? -

But I must warn you, it is really not up-market at all but it is one place that gives me nostalgic feel and I like the selection.
Yes I went to Kelong before too, not too bad as well but no more liao.
Don't think I have been to Jiang-Nan Chun before for dim sum. Can check it out when craving comes. Thanks.
