Hi ftwm out there, anyone can share how to plan night time for kids in primary schools (P1 next year) n student care after school between academic, piano practice, rest n relax etc.... Seems very difficult eh..., feeling anxious already...
If your kids are already heading student care after school, I dont thk u hv to worry abt homework as most student care teachers will assist them in that.
P1 work is manageable. Save your night slots for loads of reading and bonding time with your kid. -

Hi,
My children were in Childcare and follow by student care since 2 yrs old.
Both of them also learn piano, but we arranged them to attend weekend lesson. Only recent years that we got them a piano teacher to teach at home during weekdays...their lesson starts at 7:45pm.
They do not have much time to practice piano .. mostly practice over weekend. -

When my children were in lower primary, we would pick them from Chilcare and had our dinner at food court or sometime at my parents place (5mins drive). By then we reach home was around 8pm or later. They will do their own homework(if any) and do whatever they want. They didnt practice their piano unless I told them to do so. We were in rest and relax mood unless the examination is coming.
We ever tried to follow a 'time table' for my children..but it didn't work after trying for a week. I didn't really so kiasu when my son was in Pri 1. I wanted him to enjoy his studies. -

if already going student care think no need to be so anxious about extra coaching at home. unless really weak...
as for piano. i stopped my son lessons when he was in p1 cause he didn't enjoy it. if he enjoyed it he wouldn't need to be pushed for practise. so now after school if there is no homework he just chill.... -
