Suee:
Hi,
I am looking for 1 of those centres too. I have sourced out quite a few of them and is considering which to choose. Not easy choosing a suitable centre. Many aspects to consider. Some centres do not have labs. So this must b considered carefully.AuntieKiasi:
Hi
Anyone has good recommendation for centre conducting Science for next yr P2.
Cheers.
List of ctrs:
1. The Learning La
2. Smart Science Lab
3. Doctor Peh associates.
Learning Lab will assess your child's abiity b4 admission. The child will b tested on Eng & Maths. Smart Science does not req that (definitely 1of the cheapest around). These 2 ctrs are located @ United Square. Doc Peh is the most expensive...ahem  @$2300 for  10 lessons!!!!
My child will be going for assessment with The Learning Lab. Std there are quite high there.
Hopefully, all these info r of help to u.
Thanks for your info, i had just checked with Smart Science Lab, i felt that the lesson time was abit too short (1hr15mins)charges for wkend classes @$370 for 12 lessons. They say they are having roadshow this wkend with promotion if we sign up for the course. Might bring my ds over and have a look first.
Btw, i'm sure TLL is also not cheap right???
Cheers!!!!
Hi Suee, charges @TLL is approx. $258 p/mth for 4 lessons. So r u going to the smart science lab road show? I think I will b going after final yr exams. Exams...I hate it...very stressful time for a mother like me. -

I hv no experience with Science Buddies nor Mind Stretcher, but would like to know whether you find Science Buddies not adequate in terms of exams preparation that you feel that a change of centre might be helpful to your child?
-
I hestitate to comment about Mind Stretcher because I donβt have first hand experience. However, there is a Mind Stretcher near my place and Iβve asked friends and neighbours. No one gave very good reviews. Mostly, it still depends on luck and teacher assigned. One friend was particularly upset as the center did not handle her queries related to courses for GEP students (which the center runs) well.
I am also interested to know your experience with Science Buddies. -
Science Buddies generally have good packaging. The materials they provide are generally reasonable, but there are other tuition centres which can provide better quality ones. The only good selling point about Science Buddies is that are quite exam-oriented, however this may not be a good thing for students who donβt like to be stressed outβ¦
I would personally go for tuition centres which have a more structured lesson plans.
