Rebonding
-
BlurBee:
It's called \"soft straight\". Doesn't last as long. Also it depends on your hair texture. Can be between 2 - 4 months. But I find that it looks more natural looking - or at least for my hair type.
I heard from my SIL that there is soft rebonding but dunno whether how long will it last. -
OIC. Thanks schweppes & lovekidsverymuch for the advice.
Iโll go for the normal rebonding this sat. -
a friend once told me that every time a woman goes to the hairstylist - be it for a cut, restyling or colouring - her husband or boyfriend gets a new woman in his life!!
That's because, it's like a mini make-over and we feel good too. So, everytime I do something to my hair, I'll text DH to tell him that he's a got new woman coming home tonite!!
Cheap thrill, lah but it makes both of us happy!! -
Hi,
I also cant remember how many times I did it... :?
I also think to go on this Saturday...
I darent to try perm hairs, as I think I will look more aunty after it.

this โsoft straightโ thing, how long does it take to complete.
I do my hair only once a year. Dread the time taken to sit and wash and sit and wash. So 1 time cut, rebond, colour, perm, treat. Takes at least 5hrs.
In my school day I use to hate having so much hair. Medium texture but a lot. Unable to use most of those big hair clips. To make it worse, I have hair that cannot decide whether it wants to curl or be straight.
Now after 2 kids and in my late 30s, I thank god I started out with so much hair else I will be bald by now. -

usually takes about 2 - 2.5 hours - including hair straightening, cut, wash and blow, but no colouring. i think the actual treatment depends on the hair type, maybe about 45mins? If thicker the hair or curlier the hair, then takes a longer time to treat.Funz:

Actually, have been advised by hairstylist NOT to colour and do treatment like, perm/rebond/soft straight hair at the same time. She says that it is damaging to the hair as it will dry the hair out with too much chemicals. I believe there is some truth to it, as our hair and scalp may not be able to take it.
She always advises me to do the treatment first (in my case soft straight) and then return again for hair colouring 7 - 10days later. Says to give time for the hair to \"rest\" in between chemical treatments.
I \"kuai kuai\" follow advise, even tho it's troublesome to come back another time.
In total, it's also about 5 hours of time at hair shop (as about 2.5 hrs each time). -

Agree with Schweppes. My sis recommended it rather than the 'normal' rebonding.
