helplessmum, both of my kids are ASD :yikes: .
wamin, which of yr child is ASD.. basically most ASD issues are communication. gross & fine motor are usually fine. and taking instruction. just the interaction & communication which hardest for them to over come..
fine & gross motor & behavior is a little easy to overcome compare to communication are more challenge to them..
My daughter have words but she don't like to use them (only when she is in mood) and i think at this moment she cannot associate them with real life. On my birthday when everyone was signing happy birthday she said \"Happy day\" i was like
. But she like to say papa and mama.
For my son when he was around 1+ he used papa but since then no words at all, all babbling. But recently he start pointing to thing he want me to say and when he playing some game he will look at my face and will wait till i say the name of the thing he is pointing at.
Behavior wise they are quite ok, at time my daughter can be upset when i don't accompany her (normally i work from home and have to be up till mid night or even late and she just pop in my room and want me to accompany her :(, and she don't want my wife :slapshead: ). and if i leave her alone she will cry and don't stop for hours :(. -
Will is different from trust.
Will just state who gets your assets. Trust company will invest your money and pay them out periodically according to your trust deed.
Eg, u will everything to your son but scared he doesn’t know how to invest/budget. So you set up a trust to give him a monthly allowance instead of lump sum. -

I think the $5000 you mentioned may be for the govt-supported Special Needs Trust Company (SNTC). My child is in mainstream, so I don’t qualify.
